How to get to the centre

Dhamma Padipa is approximately 100km southeast of Perth City, 110km southeast of Fremantle and 40km west of Brookton. The meditation centre is nestled between the Strange Road Nature Reserve and the Boyagarring Conservation Park and has stunning views over the rural landscape and rocky outcrops.

The address is 894 Strange Road, Jelcobine. This is 76km from the junction of Brookton and Albany highways in Kelmscott and about 10km after the turn off to Beverly on the Brookton Highway.

By road

To get to Dhamma Padipa travel south from Perth along the Albany Highway and turn left/east into Brookton Highway. After 76km turn right into Gartrell Road and remain on Gartrell as it becomes Strange Road.

These are gravel roads so please drive slowly to avoid accidents. Look for the Vipassana Meditation sign on the right (approximately 10km after the Brookton Highway/Gartrell Road junction). There is plenty of parking on the property. Please see the map below.

Offer or request a lift

As there is no public transport to Dhamma Padipa, it is very helpful if you can offer a lift to other attendees. Once you have received your confirmation letter for your course, you will receive a link to the |RIDESBOARD|. There you can enter your details. If requesting a lift, it is not necessary to organise the return journey as there will be many people returning to Perth at the end of the course.
